One trend I have been loving for a long time is peplum. This super cute tiered peplum tee from LOFT is so cute and flowy! You can seriously pair this peplum tee with everything – jeans, shorts, a skirt. Seriously, this top is so versatile and it’s been on heavy rotation in my closet.
Over the weekend my husband and I took a vacation with the family to Puerto Penasco, Mexico (also known as Rocky Point). The drive wasn’t too bad – about four hours from Phoenix area. We stayed at the Las Palomas resort which was amazing!
So a little more about the resort. At the resort we had a two bedroom suite, two huge bathrooms (complete with standing shower and jacuzzi), a large eat-in kitchen with all appliances, ginormous living area, and an extremely large balcony with plenty of patio furniture which overlooked the beach. Everything was so clean, meticulous, and well decorated. It truly felt like a high-end experience.
We had an amazing view of the beach. I loved going onto the balcony with my cup of coffee and just looking out at the water. After breakfast, we hung out by the beach and ventured into the water which was some of the clearest I’ve ever seen. I also tried the banana boats (my first time) which was so much fun and quite the experience! It was fun hanging on and trying not to fall off! The vendors down by the beach also sold mango and pineapple which had seasoning on it and it was quite yummy! In the afternoon, we hung out by the pool. There were two sets of pools both were extremely large and had the swim up pool bars. You HAVE to try the pina coladas there - probably the best I've ever had! At night we drove into town and enjoyed the sunset. There were alot of vendors selling souvenirs and many restaurants and street food!
On Sunday, we checked out the brunch. It is totally worth it especially if you like mimosas which were unlimited and the omelettes were amazing. After that we went to a Mexican restaurant and started our journey back to Phoenix. Overall, I can’t wait to go back and would highly recommend this resort to everyone!

One of the top trends right now that I am loving are midi skirts! Midi skirts are so effortless and can take you from sloppy to chic in a minute! Since midi skirts are flowy with love of volume, I like to keep the top half minimal by pairing the skirt with a simple t-shirt like I did here. On a sidenote I hope everyone has a great weekend! I am heading up to Boston later this afternoon for a friends wedding!

Can we just talk about this gorgeous lace skirt for a second? I saw this skirt at H&M and knew I HAD to have it. The skirt is soo pretty and comfortable (and might I add it comes with an affordable price point!). I ended up wearing this outfit to date night last week. The skirt itself makes quite a statement so I paired the look with nude heels and a black blouse. I did add a pop of color by going with a red lip stain by Sephora. This is one of my favorites from Sephora as it lasts for hours and doesn't come off!
Over the weekend my brother and I went home to Connecticut to surprise our mother for Mother's Day. She was soo surprised and caught offguard it was funny (mission accomplished!). We had a fun weekend spending time with the family and I feel so blessed to have such an amazing family. The weekend started off rainy but by the end of the weekend it was so sunny and beautiful - such a nice change from the cloudy skies and rain we have been having in Philadelphia for a week straight! Hope everyone had a great weekend!
