I absolutely love getting dressed up to go out to dinner and drinks. Some of my favorite clothing ideas for a date night are cute tops like this blouse with feather cuff or a bodysuit paired with jeans. Complete this look with heels, a bag and a coat and you’re ready to go! Some of my favorite date night spots in Philadelphia are Four Seasons, Del Frisco’s, Suraya, Alpen Rose and Parc.

It’s no secret that Valentine’s Day can be a stressful holiday from planning a night for your significant other, finding a dinner reservation to finding the perfect gift. However, as stressful as it can seem, this doesn’t mean you should write off the holiday altogether. Here are a few stay at home ideas for Valentine’s Day which will prove to be less stressful and more romantic.
Order in Dinner - Give yourselves the night off and order in dinner from your favorite restaurant. As a bonus, you’ll be supporting a local business!
Cook Dinner Together - Have some fun in the kitchen by cooking your favorite meal together. Another idea would be to take an at home cooking class if you need some direction instead. If you like to bake, whip up a batch of cookies or brownies to enjoy.
Movie Night - Instead of fighting the crowds at the movies why not do a movie night at home? Now a days you can rent brand new movies right at home or find a binge worthy movie on Netflix! Make a bowl of popcorn, grab your favorite beverage and snuggle up on the couch.
Game Night - For competitive couples, have a game night! Pull out your favorite board game such as Settlers of Catan, Monopoly, Twister., etc.. you get the idea!
Have a picnic - Who doesn’t love a picnic? Grab a blanket and re-create a picnic at home in your living room! A few things to include is a bottle of wine and a charcuterie board.
Create an at home spa - Light a few candles, get massage oils and face masks. Your significant other will really love this one! As an added bonus surprise your significant other with a foot spa or a deep tissue massager.
Learn Something New Together - Let loose and learn something new together! This could be something as simple as painting or learning a new dance!
Plan a Future Vacation - Who doesn’t love having something to look forward too? Planning a vacation is fun and gets you excited for the future. It can even be as simple as a staycation.
Casual Valentines Day Outfit Idea
Sweater: H&M (Similar) / Jeans: JCrew
Sneakers: Cole Haan
Happy February! We welcomed the start of February with a pile of snow here in Philadelphia. I can’t believe that Christmas was more than a month ago and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner in less than two weeks! I’m not one to get all dressed up on Valentine’s Day but I do like a pop of pink or red such as the sweater I’m wearing from H&M. This year we’ll be ordering in dinner and watching a movie at night - it sounds super simple but I can’t remember the last time we were able to eat together (one of us is usually watching the baby while the other eats since he gets pretty cranky in the evening)! So for that reason I wanted to show you a more casual look for Valentine’s Day since I’m guessing alot more of you will be staying in!
I’m linking a few other cute and casual Valentine’s Day picks below!

In need for some last minute Valentine’s Day outfit ideas and inspiration? You’ve come to the right place! Whether you are celebrating Valentine’s Day with your significant other, your girlfriends, or even if it’s just a day for yourself, any type of love is worth celebrating! This year for Valentine’s Day the hubby and I are planning on cooking dinner together! We’ve had a really busy schedule the last few weeks so we are planning on staying low and relaxing!
While there’s something to be said for head-to-toe red or pink, I am loving subtle florals right now! This dress is also one that you’ll be able to wear through Spring (and is under $40)! It also comes in a bunch of different colors as well.
