With the holiday season about to kick off in full force (seriously can you believe that Thanksgiving is only one week away?!) it's time to start planning your outfits for that special event - it could be a family and/or friends get together, office party, happy hour, dinner, blogger event, or whatever the occasion may be!

This outfit is one that I don't initially gravitate towards since my lower half is more curvy, but I honestly fell in love with these black pants from Express the minute I tried them on. They are honestly so comfortable and I love the high waisted look with the sash detail. The length of these pants are ankle length so you could wear them with flats or heels. I wanted to keep this look monochromatic so I paired the black pants with a simple white crew neck shirt. Since the shirt was very plain, I wanted to do a statement necklace and went with this pretty crystal necklace from Banana Republic which is from last year but I linked a similar one above!
