The countdown for the last weeks of summer is on! I can’t believe we are literally less than two weeks away from Labor Day Weekend. I wanted to share with you all one of my favorite looks this summer - this gorgeous pink pleated jumpsuit. The jumpsuit I am wearing is pink but it also comes in a beautiful dusty mauve color which is PERFECT for fall! You can style this jumpsuit so many ways and I’m definetly going to grab the dusty mauve color before it runs out of stock!

On another note, I’ve been a little behind with posts this summer and I wanted to apologize. My brother’s wedding is coming up so I’ve been pretty busy with that! Can’t wait to show all of you my fun looks for the wedding - it’s kicking off with the Sangeet this weekend!

Last weekend we drove down to Ocean City, Maryland and had the most amazing time! I went with my husband, brother, and my brother’s fiancé. We rented a lovely two bedroom condo using OC Vacations and I would highly recommend them! Our condo was spacious, clean, 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The condo was also walking distance to the beach and the community has a nice pool. I just love being at the beach and at the beach is where I feel like I can be the most casual! (Can’t you tell by my crazy beach hair?!) I love this long sleeve dot print romper and it’s such a fun print and color! I also wanted to talk about these amazing gold flats from JustFab. Florals for summer? Sure, they aren’t ground breaking but it’s definitely one trend that I will never get tired of. I wore this dress a few weeks ago for date night and I’d have to say I’m obsessed! It's FINALLY here! Today I am sharing with you all my TOP PICKS from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! There are sooo many good sales this year I can't even hide my excitement! To make things easy for you all I split out my favorite picks in a couple of different categories below. I did pick a ton of basic pieces that you can mix and match! It's honestly the best time of year to stock up on new fall items and wardrobe staples.

What is the Nordstrom Sale?

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale also known as the #NSale is one of Nordstrom's biggest sales of the year which goes for a few weeks.

When is the Nordstrom Sale?

Key dates for the #NSale include the following:

July 12 – July 18 - Early Access Sale starts for all Nordstrom cardholders. Cardholders definitely get the best picks so if you don't have a Nordstrom card you can Sign Up Here!

July 19 – August 4 - The Nordstrom sale opens to everyone!

August 4 - Last day of the sale!

Why Shop the Nordstrom Sale?

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is literally the BEST sale of the year! The sale has brand new items for the upcoming fall that are marked down! This is the best time to stock up on your sweaters, jeans, boots, shoes, makeup, handbags, etc. Not only can you stock up on your fall items alot of wardrobe staples go on sale as well such as workout gear, jeans, leggings, cardigans, t-shirts, etc.

Unlike other sales where items start at full price and then get marked down, Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the opposite. Items start on sale for a selected period of time and then prices will go back up in August. 

To avoid getting overwhelmed I always have a strategy in place when shopping the Nordstrom sale. First I go through my closet to see what I need. Do I need new pair of boots? Leggings? Tanks? Sweaters? After putting together a list of items I need, I then browse the catalog (linked above) to get a sense of what will be going on sale. I jot down brands, styles, and prices so I know which departments to go to first. It's like creating a road map!

Also, the best items tend to sell out fast and first so having a card to shop the sale is KEY. Once you get a card make sure to use your triple point days!

One of my favorite holidays, Fourth of July, is right around the corner! This year, I am taking a casual approach to the Fourth as we will be in the city (last year we were down at the shore!). We plan on relaxing, bbqing, watching the fireworks from our rooftop and just having a nice long weekend!
