Product Review: Two Faced Perfect Flush Blush

The Two Faced Perfect Flush Blush in Candy Glow (retails at Sephora for $30.00 for 0.19 oz) has become one of my new favorite blushes to use! This blush can be described as rose pink shimmer, soft coral pink, and peachy pink shimmer.

The blush comes in three amazing swatches, you can either use all of them together and apply or use one shade at a time! You could even use the color as a highlight.  The only thing I would say is that you would have to use a small brush in order to apply only one of the shades. But, it's like getting three blushes for the price of one so that's fine by me!

The packaging is so cute! The blush comes in a heart shaped box.

Another closer look at the blush....

As a personal taste, I love the shimmery finishes - it reminds me of wearing a highlighter on top of a blush.

I love how the color looks on my skin tone!

Product Review: Naked Palette 3

Over the holidays, one of the gifts I received was the Naked Palette 3 by Urban Decay. When I initially saw this palette on display, I knew I just HAD to have it.  You could say it was love at first sight!  The beauty world has and still is obsessing over this palette at the moment - and I know why!

The packaging is made of tin material which I wasn't too fond of at first but I've warmed up to it.  The package clicks shut, is durable, and much more easier to keep clean.

In comparison to Naked 1 & Naked 2, the Naked 3 has more rose tones and comes with 12 brand new shades!  The colors are beautiful and I am just imagining so many different looks that I can create from a simple look to a smokey eye.  The Naked Palette 3 comes with a synthetic dual-ended eyeshadow brush which is of good quality and the bristles are soft.  The kit also contains a fairly large mirror on the inside.

PRODUCT REVIEW: Lancome Energie De Vie Dullness Relief & Energy Recharge Daily Cream

I LOVE Lancome’s Energie De Vie Dullness Relief & Energy Recharge Daily cream which retails for $55 (here) at Sephora for a 1.7oz container. This product was being offered for Sephora’s 100 point gifts. I saw the Lancome brand and knew I had to get my hands on this product.

This cream is an energizing cream which relieves dullness and revitalizes the skin.  It is inspired by the latest Chinese beauty rituals. This cream is a daily moisturizing, lightweight, yet nourishing texture that melts into skin to soften, refine, and boost radiance.  When you put the cream on your skin it gives your skin a feeling of being energized along with a healthy looking-glow.

According to LancΓ΄me, after 4 weeks of use:

78% of women felt their pores looked reduced

90% of women felt their skin looked more radiant

This cream is so light-weight and absorbs very nicely into your skin. β€¨It also has a strong scent – however, I like it because it smells calming.  I apply the cream by massaging the cream into my skin in the morning and again at night. Right after applying the cream I could feel my skin just felt smooth and soft.  I will definitely be purchasing another bottle after I’ve gone through this sample!

Product Review: LancΓ΄me Teint Idole Ultra 24H

My favorite foundation at the moment is the LancΓ΄me Teint Idole Ultra 24H which retails $45.00 at department stores.  I absolutely love this foundation and have been using it for years.

LancΓ΄me boasts that this formula is, β€œblendable and fresh texture leaves the complexion perfectly smooth, velvety matte with no powdery effect. The full coverage you need – flaws, pores, redness and all imperfections visibly disappear. The velvety finish you love for 24-hour lasting perfection and comfort.”   Did I find all of this to be true – Yes!!

I went into the LancΓ΄me counter at Macy’s to get a shade consultation.  Apparently this foundation comes in comes in 28 different colors and contains SPF 15!  Woohoo! The 360 Bisque N matched absolutely perfectly with my skin. A lot of my friends have said that they can’t even notice I am wearing foundation.

This foundation is full coverage with a matte finish.  I’m not sure about the whole β€œ24 hour” lasting foundation since it's gross not to take off your makeup before going to bed, but this foundation does last ALL day. I can go to work for 9+ hours, go out afterwards for dinner, come home and my foundation will still be intact.

So how do I use this foundation?  First, I apply my moisturizer and then let it dry a little.  Sometimes I'll use a primer over the moisturizer under my foundation.  Next, I'll usually use 1 pump of the foundation onto my hand and then apply the foundation using a foundation brush or a sponge.  The foundation is very smooth and blends perfectly.  It makes my skin flawless and covers up any dark spots.  It does not make my face feel oily or shiny.

This makeup is excellent to use for parties or special events since it blurs out pores and photographs wonderfully.  I also did not experience any breakouts which was great.

DIY Body Scrub

I absolutely love anything that has to do with do-it-yourself ("DIY")! Today I wanted to share a very simple DIY Body Scrub that I make quite often.  This DIY Body Scrub leaves your skin feeling super amazing, silky and soft.  This Body Scrub also exfoliates your skin and leaves your skin feeling moisturized. Why buy a body scrub at the store when you can make it at home for just a fraction of the cost?!

Ingredients:

1 cup olive oil
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup raw oatmeal (I used steal cut oats)

1. Measure out all ingredients outlined above

2. Mix ingredients together in a bowl

3. Apply mixture to skin in circular motions then rinse off!

This DIY Body Scrub also makes a great gift.  You can make a large batch and then put them in cute little containers and give them to all your friends!

You can also do different variations such as adding in a drop of vanilla extract, lavender essential oil, lemon essential oil, for an additional soothing smell. I hope you all enjoyed this DIY Body Scrub!
