I’ve been on a hiatus the last few things as things have been super busy! I wanted to share a quick look I wore over the weekend in the city. It’s been really hot here in Philadelphia so shorts have been my best friend! These high waist shorts with tie are soo comfortable and are the cutest! They come in a variety of colors also. I picked up this blush color and also these blue ones. The shorts do run a little big - I’m wearing a size Small (I usually tend to wear Medium for bottoms). Express is also having a sale on so many items so make sure to check it out! Some of my favorites are: Drawstring Jumpsuit, Cami and this OTS Stripe Dress.
With Memorial Day Weekend around the corner, it’s time to get your outfits finalized and ready! From beach vacations to attending BBQ’s to spending the night on the town, the Shopbop sale has it all and something for everyone and any occasion!
The Shopbop sale also includes designer items! It’s one of the best sales of the season to stock up on your summer wardrobe and for any of you going on vacation or have an event coming up now is the perfect time to get those items! Some of my favorite items include this elegant dress, this LoveShack Fancy dress which would be perfect for a night out, these cute shorts paired with this top, and this super cute swimsuit and coverup!

Happy Wednesday! This dress is one of my recent favorite purchases from JCrew and this dress reminds me soo much of Greece (blue + white)! This dress is so effortless and would be perfect for a beach vacation or a daytime event. I also love the cute tassel ties and the textured fabric. This dress is tucked away under the “Beach Cover Up” section on the JCrew website which is how I found it but seriously it needs so much more attention! The fabric is thick and not see through so you can wear it as a normal maxi dress. I also love the volume and movement of the dress - it’s so flattering!

I received so many questions on where we stayed and what we did while we were in Nassau, Bahamas about a week ago. We spent a total of 5 days and 4 nights in Nassau, Bahamas and overall, we had a good time.
WHERE TO STAY
We stayed at the Melia All Inclusive on Cable Beach in Nassau, Bahamas and unfortunately, I wasn’t too thrilled with my experience. I had read a ton of negative reviews on Trip Advisor so I was well-prepared and pretty much knew what to expect. We were traveling with a group of about 20 friends some of who have children and an all inclusive made the only sense for our group. Despite having upgraded to the “Level” service we still left feeling disappointed. On a positive note, I would say that the breakfast was very good as well as lunch. We also upgraded to the “Level” service so we had top shelf alcohol and also had priority reservations to dinner. The beach area at Melia was absolutely beautiful and the service on the “Level” side of the beach was great as well.
If I was going with a smaller group or with my husband, I would stay at the Baha Mar property which is literally next door to the Melia and is an amazingly beautiful property. Baha Mar has really good restaurants, bars, rooftop lounge and a club and it’s no surprised that we ended up at Baha Mar each night. It’s overall just really chic and trendy. I would also recommend staying at Atlantis on Paradise Island and there are also a couple of adults only all inclusive resorts such as Sandals Royal Bahamian and Warwick Paradise Island. If you can spurge I would recommend the Four Seasons!
For transportation we booked private vans from the airport to the resort. It’s honestly such a quick drive and took about 20 minutes or so to the Melia. I would recommend doing that since it was not too expensive. Another option is to take a cab which is safe in the Bahamas. One of the things I did like was that the resort was close to the airport. Another thing that I do like about the Bahamas is that it is a quick short flight from Philadelphia – not even 3 hours!
We did a girls day at the ESPA at Baha Mar one of the days. They were able to accommodate our large party which was great. It’s honestly one of the most beautiful spaces I’ve seen. Everything is so tastefully done and the service was outstanding. I had a 45 minute Swedish massage and it was amazing!
THINGS TO DO
My top thing to do is to be on the beach since the Bahamas has some of the clearest waters I’ve ever seen with pristine white sandy beaches. There are also a handful of exersions to try such as kayak, paddle boarding, snorkeling, parasailing and jet-skiing. There is also shopping in the center of town which we went too and the Straw Market. If you do get a chance make sure to spend a day at the Atlantis at Paradise Island (also has a waterpark). Take a trip to Exuma Island to swim with the pigs or if you are more on the adventurous side go to Queen’s Staircase. For nightlife I would highly recommend the rooftop bar called Skybar at Baha Mar and the Baha Mar also has a club called Bond and similarly, the Atlantis has a club called Aura. If you are feeling lucky try your luck at the Baha Mar Casino (seriously has a “Vegas feel”).
WHAT TO WEAR
Resort wear, in my opinion is the best way to go for an island vacation. For daytime I lived in swimsuits and cute cover-ups and in the evenings I was able to get dressed up each night. I linked all of my outfits below!
If you’ve been following along lately on my Instagram account to my travels in the Bahamas you’ll know that I’ve been obsessing over white dresses and swimwear! This white dress by Rails is one of my favorite little white dresses in my closet (also worn in Santorini in my blog post HERE) and with summer right around the corner I wanted to link some of my favorite white dresses for you all. There’s just something so effortless about a little white dress that just screams summer and vacation at the same time to me!
Also be on the lookout over the next few days for a travel post on the Bahamas! I had so many questions about what to do, eat, see, etc. so I’m putting everything into one post for you all!
